ECHO | Teaser trailer
Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour (White Rabbit, Red Rabbit, NASSIM) and director Omar Elerian (NASSIM, Misty, two Palestinians go dogging) push the boundaries of Soleimanpour’s signature unrehearsed cold reads to the next level.
A new performer takes to the stage at every show without having a clue of what is going to be asked of them. Unrehearsed and unprepared, the script becomes their guide as they journey through the story of the playwright, connected live from his flat in Berlin? Or is he? Can we really know where or when we are?
ECHO asks us to confront what it feels like to be an immigrant in time, as much as in space. Fusing technology with the oldest tricks in the book, ECHO is an experiment in concept touring for the age of climate crisis: an ambitious, magical and uncompromising production where no one travels yet everybody can be present.

i'm here for the same thing
Black and white Ripley was predicted by this interview 🤭
I lived in Peckham for 2 years and they were the best 2 years of my life. I rented a flat on a council estate and I actually spoke to my neighbours and looked out for them
Love Johnnny.❤
That’s telling……choking on that piece of bread in the middle of a scene…..”reminded me of my humility”. Sweet.❤
He is soooo good. I wish we could see him in more films. I suppose he loves the theatre and that’s where he works the most.
Roots the homosexual comedy
Roots the comedy
No thanks, looks loke a 3rd world pile of utter shit
Petey Prior is played by a Brit?!
He would make a good Winston Churchill 👍
Amazing actress , I love her
💀
Cock auf den Scheiß
would’ve been cool to hear from sabu as well.
Is the stream still available?
Sadly no.
Is the full talk coming up?
Incredible play
My Dad's road in Peckham was destroyed by the Blitz and I don't think diversity was one of the qualities that he loved about the area .
RIP dear Edmond ❤🙏🏾 I wish we could have saved you...
❤ I loved this production ❤ it was very touching and funny and real and beautiful...just wished it played for longer in the west end because of its depth ❤ we need to reach out and touch more of our black boys and men to save them from sucide
I love Jonathan Freedlands work
No idea he was british
Hi, My name is Emine Özge Yıldız. I am from Turkey. Me and my few friends have our own theatre in Eskişehir/Turkey. We are a team that strives to bring different perspectives to theatre. I love Lucy Kirkwood's plays. I couldn't find the text of this play. If you have the play text to read and review the play, I would be happy if you could share it with me. Thanks for now.

So true! He can portray terrifying characters while still being so adorable at the same time! I don't know how he does it! But he's amazing! 😍

can you get alice birch, lucy p, simon stephens & david eldridge next? its like the criterion closet rec vids but for plays omg
Nice little doc. Be good to get the views of older people who always lived there. I was born in Camberwell but grew up in Peckham during the 70's, and 80s. I moved out about 10 years ago but still go there regularly. To me, other than old buildings coming down and new buildings going up, it's really not changed that much over the years - but something that's made a big difference to the area is the London Overground - connecting east London to south. But Peckham is still recognisable. It's always been a working class area. Always had the slightly run down feel about it but always had a lot of energy. and those characters you always see about the place. When I was growing up there, there always was people from different parts of the world living there as well as your native English people and it's the same now. People move out new people move in - that's just the way of thing in big cities - London never been any different. I think the guy at 1:50 expressed things quite well, I think there must be a lot of people that feel that way about it.
crazy to think this is the same superstar ashley waters
Always moaning.
I wish the playwright would use her own name as “The Village Bike”, instead of the nickname for a Jewish name.
A powerful, essential and at times poetic exploration of how our perceptions are manipulated by the language of politicians, media outlets and social media. Unmissable. Should be on the National Curriculum to make all secondary school students aware of language and begin to think critically
Saw this last night - loved it! Great play, well written, well acted, funny and moving.
Great interview! Really enjoyed it.
Great show! Great actors. Hilarious, but with a dark twist. Highly recommended👍🏽
Interesting. Now I need to find out where to watch the play at.
